Targeted audience
Elearning Avenue elearning programmes cater to teenagers
and adults regardless of age group. Content topics are chosen
in terms of relevance to individual interest in respect of
the success and personal development one intends to achieve
sales, communication, Infomation Technology, etc.. Psychographically
our audience is made up of individuals who proactively seek
to improve themselves, their families and their communities.
Elearning Avenue is created by the motivation and inspiration
that, sometimes simply the hope, that we can evolve how people
approach and see education today. We believe when it comes
to learning, time is not a factor, but the methodoligical
approach is.
Much the way how a person's hierarchy of needs is generally
described, Elearning Avenue helps an individual identify and
satisfy specific needs so he or she can elevate themselves
and their expectations. Our huge coverage of elearning programmes
compliments any form of indomitable determination one have
to reach that hard-to-go places, due to time constraints.
Most important, while most media companies focus on events
and issues outside of the lives of most of their audiences,
everything Elearning Avenue provides is focused on the individual
audience member… and at just the exact problem that
all of us face today - LACK OF TIME. In other words, everything
we create speaks directly to individual audience members as
they get serious about discovering and achieving their life
goals and as their decision-making gains more urgency.
This powerful combination, a huge demographic coupled with
a more targeted psychographic offers a rich opportunity for
both a traditional media model and ecommerce. Elearning Avenue's
approach in reaching this audience is revolutionary in two
ways : first, targeting all content to the proactive self-improver
and then allowing that person to personalize the companies'
offerings online. We are more than happy to receive any form
of feedback for further enhancements.
Will online enrollments continue their rapid growth?
Background: Last year’s study, Sizing the Opportunity:
The Quality and Extent of Online Education in the United States,
2002 and 2003 found that over 1.6 million
students were studying online in the fall of 2002,
and that schools expected that number to grow substantially
by the fall of 2003. The nearly 20% growth rate expected in
online enrollments far exceeds the overall rate of
growth for the entire higher education student population.
Would this very optimistic projection be realized, or would
schools begin to see a plateau in their online enrollments?
The evidence: The online enrollment projections have been
realized, and there is no evidence that enrollments have reached
a plateau. Online enrollments continue to grow at
rates faster than for the overall student body, and
schools expect the rate of growth to further increase:
Over 1.9 million students were studying
online in the fall of 2003.
Schools expect the number of online students to grow
to over 2.6 million by the fall of 2004.
Schools expect online enrollment growth to accelerate —
the expected average growth rate for online students for 2004
is 24.8%, up from 19.8% in 2003.
Overall, schools were pretty accurate in predicting enrollment
growth — last year’s predicted online enrollment
for 2003 was 1,920,734; this year’s number from the
survey is 1,971,397.
