The National Institutes of Health is seeking to fund the development of e-learning materials focused on providing health and safety training for hazardous materials workers, emergency responders, and skilled support workers in these fields. Â
Funded materials will be used toward fulfillment of the goals and objectives of the Institute’s Worker Education and Training program, which seeks to train workers to protect themselves and the communities they serve from harm due to exposure to hazardous materials. The primary mission of this program is to reduce the occurrence of workplace harm. Â
This is a small business innovation research (SBIR) request for proposals, and the purpose of this particular request is to involve small businesses in the creation of e-learning materials emphasizing safety and health training for those workers whose job duties involve hazardous materials response. Â
This program will be funded directly by National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences Worker Education and Training Branch Small Business Innovation Research funds.Â
