People don’t always embrace change with open arms. When you first introduce E-Learning as a component of your organization’s training system, your employees aren’t likely to be thrilled. They are likely to look at the new platform with suspicion, or at least hesitation. Â
It is human nature to look for reasons to not like things that force us to change our comfortable ways of doing things. In order to put learners’ minds at ease, it is very important that their first experience with the E-Learning platform is a positive one.Â
If people have a good experience the first time they experience E-Learning, they will be much more likely to embrace the platform. If they have a negative experience they will resist further E-learning training initiatives, and they will likely spread negative information about E-learning throughout the organization.   Â
The moral of the story is that you should work the bugs out of your E-learning system before you begin to implement E-learning in your organization. Don’t use your first groups of E-learners and guinea pigs to help identify problems that need to be fixed. Â
If you want E-learning to be embraced within the culture of your organization, it is in your bet interest to make sure that learners have positive experiences with E-learning starting from their very first exposure. You never have to make up for a good first impression!
